ISO 50001

IMPEA has officially obtained the ISO 50001:2018 certification – “Energy management systems – Requirements with guide for use”, an award that rewards the company’s commitment to optimizing energy consumption and sustainability.

The audit, conducted by ICIM, confirmed compliance with all the requirements, with a pass with flying colors; A result that comes at the end of a path started a year ago, characterized by a clear strategy and targeted interventions to improve energy management within the plant.

A structured and targeted path

Obtaining the certification was the result of a methodical approach that began with detailed monitoring of consumption through measuring devices installed on each machine, to collect data in real time.

Thanks to the collaboration with Area ISO and AERE, in particular with Gabriella Albani and Alessandro Donadeo, the information collected was processed to identify critical points, while at the same time harmonizing our Integrated Management System with the requirements of ISO 50001:2018.

Finally, IMPEA’s Energy Team, made up of key figures in quality, production, purchasing and administration, was responsible for implementing targeted interventions to eliminate waste and improve overall energy efficiency, with a significant reduction in costs.

Efficiency and sustainability at the heart

Obtaining ISO 50001:2018 certification goes hand in hand with the company’s green investments, such as the recently completed photovoltaic system, and testifies to IMPEA’s desire to adopt increasingly sustainable practices.

“It is a result that satisfies us – comments Pietro Mainardi, Quality Control Director – and that we expected a little for the time and effort dedicated to this project. The certification is an important recognition, but the real goal is having acquired the ability to analyze consumption and constantly optimize each process. A strategic factor that will bring great benefits, both in economic and sustainability terms”.

This continues our journey towards a more efficient and sustainable future, focusing on innovation, responsibility and continuous improvement.
