IMPEA - 2024 Achievements and Challenges

2024 was a year of profound changes and important milestones for Impea, but not without challenges related to the crisis that hit the automotive sector, with repercussions also in parallel segments such as earthmoving and agriculture.

Francesco Bosisio, CEO of Impea, took stock of the year just ended, highlighting the results achieved and the difficulties faced in the last quarter.

A complex context, but faced with resilience

“In the face of a good first half of the year in line with forecasts, in the last six months we have seen a sharp slowdown due to the crisis of the automotive market, which has also affected the off-highway segment in which we operate. There are numerous factors: persistent conflicts, tariffs, inflation and rising production costs, as well as the transition to vehicle electrification, which has caused sales to fall, due to higher costs and general uncertainty,” Bosisio said.

Despite this complex scenario, the company has been able to react by focusing on the company’s solidity and the efficiency of its production processes, keeping the entire workforce active and without resorting to measures such as layoffs.

Strategic investments and new frontiers

Throughout the year, Impea continued to innovate and invest. Worthy of note are the purchase of a new welding robot and a truck to optimize logistics, the entry into new sectors such as artificial snowmaking and the start of activities to expand the presence on the French market.

Certifications, sustainability, communication and training

Among the goals for 2024 are the renewal of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and 45001 certifications, the start of work on ISO 50001 and gender equality certification. In addition, a code of ethics, the 231 organizational model, was adopted and the first sustainability report for 2023 was published.

“The innovations also concern communication, with the renewal of the website (now full of updated content and with an optimized style and navigation) and strengthening the brand identity with the payoff ‘Shaping Ideas’,” added the CEO.

Great attention was also paid to training, with over 500 hours of courses and audits on topics such as quality, safety and lean production aimed at production personnel.

The challenges of 2025

“Looking ahead to 2025,” Bosisio concludes, “we are aware of the difficulties that the market will present. However, we are determined to continue our growth path, focusing on innovation and collaboration with partners to face challenges and seize new opportunities. We will do our best to stem the difficulties without losing sight of our principles”.
