IMPEA’s 3D laser cutting department continues to evolve with the arrival of the new Prima Power Laser Rapido 3D, which came into operation at the beginning of March. The new machine joins the other two fibre-laser machines installed in recent years, helping to further strengthen the department’s production capacity and consolidate a continuous investment path in advanced sheet metal processing technologies.
High performance and greater efficiency
Equipped with 3000 watts of power, the new machine features a working area of 4,000 × 1,500 mm and a maximum working height of 765 mm. Thanks to its high performance and increased operating speed, it will be able to carry out the same work as the two CO₂ technology machines it replaces, while significantly reducing energy consumption.
This upgrade makes it possible to increase the department’s efficiency while maintaining high quality standards and reducing the overall energy impact of the production processes.
A major investment in technology and sustainability
Around €500,000 has been invested in the purchase of the new machine, a decision that is far from obvious in a challenging phase for the manufacturing industry, but fully consistent with the company’s strategy of strengthening competitiveness through more efficient, high-performance and sustainable technologies.
