State-of-the-art technology and specialized personnel are just the starting point. To guarantee you constant and high quality standards, we want to offer you more.

THE TESTS

Metrology Checks & 3D Scanning

After an initial metrological check, the pieces from the various departments and from the incoming area (as well as all the prototypes made) are scanned with a special 3D laser that allows the product to be compared with the related mathematical model, detecting imperfections with a tolerance of a few thousandths of a millimeter.

Micrographs and macrographs

The welds are cut, a sample is taken and analyzed with a durometer to evaluate their quality and strength. These are destructive tests, which are carried out on a sample basis on new products or periodically on parts already in production to revalidate the welding process.

Penetrating liquids

The surface of the weld is sprinkled with a special liquid (red in color) capable of penetrating any cracks, craters or discontinuities. Once removed, a contrast liquid (white) is applied, reacting with the previous substance to reveal any micro-imperfections in the piece.

Process Control Plan

Each department has its own control plan that operators follow by filling in generic or specific control charts. The activities include dimensional, aesthetic and functional checks carried out with a pre-established method and frequency.

Impea Quality Laboratory

Other services

To achieve and maintain excellent levels of quality , we do not limit ourselves to controlling what happens in our factory, but we carry out periodic audits at all our suppliers, verifying production processes, certifications, documentation, storage methods and handling, so as to directly monitor every phase of the supply.

Thanks to the traceability carried out through barcode technology, it is possible to reconstruct with certainty the history of each item batch, both downwards and upwards of the bill of materials. All data is stored in our ERP and can be accessed even years later.

Years later, do you need all the documentation relating to a part and its production process? Our historical archive contains all the PPAP files of all the pieces made: a package of valuable information at your complete disposal for all your needs.

We are among the first companies in Italy to have invested in the continuous improvement of our quality management systems, with a journey that began in 1992.

Today, we have a harmonized QMS, which includes:

  • UNI EN ISO 9001:2015;
  • UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management);
  • UNI EN ISO 45001:2018 (health and safety).

To further guarantee the quality of our manufacturing processes, all our welding staff is certified according to the UNI EN ISO 9606-1:2017 standard and the procedures according to UNI EN ISO 15614-1:2019, issued by the Italian Institute of Welding.

In addition, we have recently started the process to obtain the certification relating to energy management, UNI EN ISO 500001:2018.
