The new DAF truck has arrived
The new DAF XF 480 FAN 6×2 chassis cab has entered service, replacing the old IVECO after 16 years of service and over a million kilometres driven.
The vehicle offers a higher capacity, thanks to the 3-axle tractor capable of withstanding loads of up to 160 quintals, almost double compared to the previous model, to which are added the 120 of the trailer.
The engine is also more powerful, a 13,000 cc diesel capable of delivering 480 horsepower, with reduced consumption thanks to better mechanical efficiency and electronics.
The main advantage is certainly the safety equipment, which includes assisted braking, pedestrian and bicycle recognition, blind spot camera and much more.
An important but necessary investment to increase safety levels and performance in terms of efficiency, practicality and punctuality of deliveries.
